How do I prevent my Shark® robot from getting caught on rug corners?
During your first few cleanings, you may need to make some small adjustments to optimize your robot's performance.
- Make sure you find a permanent location for the dock in a central area with strong Wi-Fi signal.
- Always prep your home before cleaning. Clear away cords and other obstructions smaller than 2.8" tall. If an obstruction can't be moved, block off the area with no-go zones in the app.
- Your robot may find its way under furniture with low clearance, but not be able to free itself. Try using with no-go zones in the app to block problem areas. If possible, move furniture away from the edges of carpets or rugs.
- Your robot can easily climb over obstacles up to 3/4" high. Obstructions higher than this may present a challenge. Use with no-go zones in the app to block off these areas.
- If the dock or base is blocked by obstructions, your robot may have difficulty returning to it. Make sure the dock is centrally located, with 3 feet of clearance on both sides.
You may purchase BotBoundary
® strips to block off physical areas here
